It Started in a Kitchen

MISE didn't begin with a pitch deck or a venture capital meeting. It began with a 14-hour shift in a Michelin-starred kitchen, a broken printer spitting out orders, and the realization that the hospitality industry was still running on tools built for a different era.

Our founding team has spent over two decades on the front lines of hospitality — running brigades, managing restaurant P&Ls, leading F&B operations across luxury hotels, and serving as General Managers responsible for everything from guest satisfaction to bottom-line performance.

We know what it feels like to reconcile inventory at midnight. To lose a reservation because a phone went unanswered during the lunch rush. To manually compile weekly reports that should take seconds but consume hours.

The Gap We Saw

While industries like finance, healthcare, and logistics were being transformed by artificial intelligence, hospitality was left behind. The tools available to hotel and restaurant operators were either prohibitively expensive, built by people who had never worked a service, or so generic they solved nothing specific.

We saw a fundamental disconnect: the people building hospitality tech didn't understand hospitality, and the people running hospitality operations didn't have access to the technology that could truly transform their businesses.
